Monday, Monday...

Good morning y'all, it's a lovely Monday here in Oregon already! Hope you got some pep in your step and sunshine headed your way

Just a reminder to get your plank on! I did!

My workouts this week were kind of pitiful as I was still not feeling 100%.

  • Walk 17 minutes for 68 calories (all my hubby would allow me to do)
  • Ran 41 minutes for 447 calories (a beautiful 3.6 mile run in the sunshine)
  • Gym 36 minutes for 336 calories
  • Ran 35 minutes for 339 calories
  • Calisthenics 10 minutes for 104 calories
  • Morning walk w/hubby 50 minutes slow for 181 calories
  • Ran 16 minutes for 174 calories
  • Walk 4 minutes for 16 calories

That was about all I could do this last week but I'm feeling better and getting back to my regular schedule. My jaw is still sore from surgery but it's getting better every day.

I am so excited to get back into my normal training program. I am using The Virtual Coach app and I love it so far.  Is it weird that I am having dreams about running? My husband believes I'm a bit obsessed with running, but he loves that I'm not really's over rated anyway. the end of the day I gotta be myself even if I am a bit strange and obsessed 'cause that's how I roll...

Blessings and hugs, enjoy your day.
Godspeed...this comes from the Middle English expression "God spede (you)", a wish for success and fortune for one setting out on an enterprise, voyage, adventure, or travels. It may also mean good luck.

  1. Hey, it's Monday. And I tried a plank. I did 10 whole seconds. So I reckon that I'm two days before the star of your chart.

Bears are generally pretty slow creatures. I'm right in character.

I hope you're having a great Monday, Shannon!

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  2. I did ~2 mins of plank variations today without even realizing there was a plank challenge going on! I don't think your workouts were that pitiful, especially not Saturday! You rock, lady!

  3. Sounds like you are already getting back into the swing of things.

  4. I think you had a great workout week!!! I love the sign about being a unicorn - that is the bestest. Happy Monday to you and big hugs as always!!!

  5. My jaw hurt forever after mouth surgery. I think it must be all those nerves that run along it.

I will gladly be a Unicorn! Can I be a Narwhal too? I love narwhals...

  6. I never did a plank before today. My time 15 seconds. I will go for 20 next time. :)

    1. Great job...however long you can hold it, is perfect!

  7. Way to work out! :) I dream about running too! Lol

  8. Congrats on getting some workouts in! I've been lackin a bit motivation and definitely slacking on the strength training. And there's nothing wrong with dreaming about running. :)

I'm so happy you stopped by...can't wait to hear all you've got to say! Blessings and hugs!
